	<description><![CDATA[<p>Hi Rob, usually the double slashes inside the path do not influence either the backup or restore process. Regarding your restore issue, can you give us more details on the issue there, have you checked if:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>1. safe_mode is Off</p>
<p>2. did you use the ftp transfer more? if so, was the ftp upload path correct?</p>
<p>3. did you check the disk space available?</p>
<p>4. have you checked if the backup size matches the one from the original site?</p>
<p>5. have you tried extracting the backup archive manually and restarting the restore process with "Skip files restore" option checked?</p>

	<title>Rob on double slashes in URLs when excluding files or attempting restore</title>

	<description><![CDATA[<p>When I check files to exclude from backup, I see it listing things like:</p>
<blockquote><p>
<strong>Excluded items list:</strong><br />
/home/username/path<strong>//</strong>excludeme<strong> </strong></p>
</blockquote>
<p>When I tried a manual restore, I also saw an error thrown as "bad path," and it also reported a double-slash in the path near the end.  It gave me the "proceed to db restore" button, but of course files were not restored.</p>
<p>I&#039;m not sure where to find the offending (probable) typo.  I downloaded the most recent update when WordPress notified me of it; it&#039;s 3.0.4.</p>
