I have just installed 3.5.2 into Joomla and also tried the standalone 3.5

Whilst a manual backup works I cannot get the cron working. I have set up and saved a config file but the script does not seem to accept it.

I get the following error if I try to run the script via the 'execure cron' link from within the component - 'To run this script you need to create a custom config file inside XCloner Config...' I get the same error if I try to execute the script via my hosting control panel.

If I use '..../public_html/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php backup-config.php' I get the above error. If I remove the config file name I get the same error.

If I use '..../public_html/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php backup-config.php?config=backup-config.php' I get a 404 Not Found error.

This is really frustrating as I have used xcloner in the past and it was simple to set up and get running. Even now I have a couple of sites using this to backup to Amazon S3 weekly.

I just cannot see what I am doing wrong here.

You can open the cloner.cron.php file from inside XCloner and remove these lines(16-20) at the top

if(!isset($argv[1]) ) {
echo  "<h2>".$topErrorLine1."</h2>\n";
echo "<strong>".$topErrorLine2."</strong>\n";
exit;
}

if(!isset($argv[1]) ) { echo  "<h2>".$topErrorLine1."</h2>\n"; echo "<strong>".$topErrorLine2."</strong>\n"; exit; }
