Hi
I managed to set up XCloner standalone on a ZenCart site, and I can get it to back-up the database just fine.
But, when I try and make backups of the files, I have problems.
I have put XCloner in the root directory of the site.
Backup Start Path is:
/home/server/public_html/XCloner/
But this means that when backing up the files, it only backs up the XCloner directory, and not the whole site.
When I change the Backup Start Path to:
/home/server/public_html/
I get the following error message:
"Error: Unable to write to file /.excl "
If I move XCloner up a level to my home directory so all the site files are now below it (the one above the www root), then I obviously can't access the XCloner configuration as it's no longer in the public html folder.
How can I back up the site files then please when the site is in the root, and not a sub folder?
Sorry for asking, but  I couldn't find the answer in the XCloner manual. And the wiki doesn't have any details for installing the standalone version. https://docs.xcloner.com/#/
Thanks
Paul

In order to make XCloner to backup the root directory, you need to create this directory /home/server/public_html/administrator/backups/ and make it fully writeable.

If you still have issues, please post a screenshot after your XCloner Config->Info tab to see your current settings

Hi Ovidiu,

I created those folders & chmod 777 the backups folder
Changed the Backup Start Path & Backup Store Path

and everything is working great.

Many Thanks 🙂
