When I restore a backup to the remote server via Xcloner and only want to update/overwrite the database I get the "Database table xyz already exist" error.

When creating a Backup in the local site I checked the "Add Drop Syntax" option but it always throws an error when restoring on the remote server when the databse is not empty. Is there a workaround other than dropping all tables before doing a database restore?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Most probably the restore mysql user is not allowed to execute the drop tables syntax, try and check it's assigned permissions, otherwise the only possibility is to use an empty database when restoring!
