Whenever I use XCloner to try to restore widget_text, it never restores. What I have seen is that the data does get populated in the wp_options table. When I log into my site wp-admin page the wp_option values for my widget_text get replaced with
+-----------+---------+-------------+------------------------------------------+----------+
| option_id | blog_id | option_name | option_value | autoload |
+-----------+---------+-------------+------------------------------------------+----------+
| 87 | 0 | widget_text | a:2:{i:2;a:0:{}s:12:"_multiwidget";i:1;} | yes |
+-----------+---------+-------------+------------------------------------------+----------+
Were anyone able to restore widget_text? I will have over 10 Widget_text and it doesn't make sense for me to manually restore them.
Thanks,
Thomas
Hi Thomas, the issue you have usually happens when the restored domain name is different than the one from where the backup is created, wordpress serializes the text widget using the domain name.
Some further reading on this matter:

I haven't been able to find a fix for this yet, but you might want to look into plugin alternatives for the text widget like this http://wordpress.org.....get/faq/ , i haven't yet tried that yet.
