Backup stopped working | Joomla Support | Forum Archive

Joomla! 3.4.6 Stable
Not sure how to find the xcloner version but it has been installed since 2014 and I have not found any info on how to do an update in a joomla install (side issue)

The backups were working until recently. No changes in installation or configuration.
When I open xcloner I see a message:
Could not connect:
above the xcloner manager box.
When I try to run a backup it, starts, gives me the normal info and then I hit continue. It creates the backup file and then errors out with:

I searched here. The only link I found that was relevant suggested setting to manual in settings (can't find a setting that is as described) and lowering the file count (I dropped it from 100 to 50 Same problem.

Any help appreciated.
