Thanks for your help with my previous problem…  the correct download for J2.5 worked.

However, now that I have downloaded a backup from my live remote host to my localhost, and executed the Xclone command, I received success message, but when I try to view the localhost front end, there is no template.  The message is:

Error
The template for this display is not available. Please contact a Site administrator.

And if I enter "localhost/joomla25/administrator/index.php" all I get is a blank screen.

I had a download of joomla 2.5 in the …joomla25 directory, along with the default sample data.  The xclone appeared to overwrite the files with the backup from my remote server/webhost, but obviously something is still wrong.

The database files were installed to a different sql (using the remote host's filename) than the default sql file set up when I installed J25 locally.  Is this the problem?  If so, specifically how do I update/overwrite the default sql file on my localhost?

Additional info:

I viewed the source code on the homepage (without template, formatting, and other resources), the html source code includes references like the following for all calls for resources:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://localhost/joomla25/xcloner.php/templates/system/css/system.css" type="text/css" />

Obviously if all the resource calls include the intermediate path /xcloner.php/, none of the resources or subdirectory references will work.  But I have no idea why the xcloner.php reference is being dumped into all the html code??

You probably did not adjust the Install dir and url when restoring, i would suggest restarting again the process, but make sure you use the XCloner.php naming with uppercase letters to avoid the bad default values.
