Problem Installing Extension on Remote Server | Joomla Support | Forum Archive

I am having difficulty installing Xcloner on my webhost's server.  I am using Rochen as webhost.  My site is using Joomla 2.5, and I wanted to install Xcloner on the server as well as my localhost (which was successful), so that I can download site info to test upgrade to Joomla 3.3.

When I use Extension Manager, I get a message indicating Xcloner has successfully installed on the server.  However, when I click on it in the list of Components, I get a blank screen...

I have attempted ftp install as an alternative, and I also tried the tip suggested in the Joomla forum to edit the folder.php file in the libraries/joomla/filesystem/ subfolder.  That just prevented me from getting into my site either on front end or as administrator.

Any suggestions?
