Hi,
I have problem on my WordPress websites. I tried both versions of xCloner - special WP and standalone - and the same error.
all MySQL database data (table characters/collation ... and general characters/collation) are UTF-8
database-sql.sql encoding is cp1250
so... the text is broken (especially Czech words with special characters) (manually change database-sql.sql encoding to UTF-8 in backup filles didn't help, of course)
On other websites, I have my own administration system and everything is OK (database-sql.sql is correctly UTF-8 like all MySQL data).
How to fix this problem?

Is the Backup Mode option set to AJAX in your current install(XCloner Config->System tab)? In that mode, XCloner sets as default the utf-8 encoding! Ovidiu

Yes, it is set to AJAX.
All the files are correctly UTF-8, instead of database-sql.sql which is CP 1250 (I don't understand why because I had never use this encoding on this site.)
I see "básnÄ›" instead of "básničky", for example.

If you have mysqldump and php exec() functin active, try and activate that option and see how it goes, the Backup Mode should be set to Normal for this to work! Ovidiu

unfortunately, I have exec() function support: DISABLED
