Hello,

I have installed the xCloner pluggin and manually it works fine. But when I create a cron task and it is executed, I get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ')', expecting '(' in /home/.../.../wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/cloner.cron.php on line 294

I have checked the line 294 and everything seems to be ok:

if ($s3->putBucket($_CONFIG['cron_amazon_bucket'], S3::ACL_PRIVATE)) {

The two previous lines seem to be fine too:

$s3 = new S3($_CONFIG['cron_amazon_awsAccessKey'], $_CONFIG['cron_amazon_awsSecretKey']);
logxx("AMAZON S3: Starting communication with the Amazon S3 server...");

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Could you post a screenshot after your XCloner Config -> Cron tab? I am guessing the Bucket name might be causing the issue, what value did you use there?

Hi, I do not use Amazon S3 storage, so my Bucket name is empty. However here is the screenshot of my cron tab.

I have created two configurations and then two cron tasks in cPanel using these urls.

I have checked the files you sent me an the cron runs OK from here, here is something you can try

- reinstall XCloner, leave all the settings as they are and try to generate a new backup using cron, do you still get that error?

If you don't get that issue, then something might be wrong with the config details you are saving, so try and alter them one by one, run the cron and see which one might be affecting the output

What php version is your server running?

The server is using PHP 5.2.12.

I will reinstall XCloner and will follow your instructions. I cant do it today, but I think tomorrow I´ll be able to post the result.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hello, finally I could reinstall the plugin. I desinstalled it deleting the files and have reuploaded all files. When I logged in as 'admin' => 'admin', without modify any setting,  I just typed in my browser this url : http://my_domain/wp-.....r.cron.php and I have the same parse error in line 294.

I have made an update in our wordpress package, could you get it from here https://www.xcloner......downloads/ and upload the files in your WordPress site root then try again?

I think it's something to do with your php environment and the S3 class

Let me know if it works! Ovidiu

If possible, try also and upgrade your php install to the latest version and see if it helps
