Hi,
I have just updated XCloner for version 3.1.1.
I received the following message from the server, after a scheduled cron task:
To run this script you need to create a custom config file inside XCloner
Config, and call the script using php cli command like this:
php /home4/xxx/public_html/example.com/wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/cloner.cron.php
mycustomconfig.php
After reading another post in this forum, I understood that I had to use the
above syntax for the cron task, which I did but it didn’t work either.
Then, I indicated “mycustomconfig” in Configuration > Cron > Configuration
Name.
The cron task it is now working OK, but I don’t understand:
1 – Why do I now have to specify “mycustomconfig” for “Multiple CronJobs
Configuration”, which I had never done before and it worked perfectly? I am not
running multiple cronjobs.
2 – Why is the syntax in Administration > Cron (Cron Command Setup)
incorrect?
It is: /usr/bin/php /home4/xxx/public_html/example.com/wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/cloner.cron.php
custom_cron_config.php
Why doesn’t it exactly reflect the right syntax to use, which would avoid
errors?
Cordially
