Hi Lee, in order to succesfully use the Amazon S3 transfer option, you need to ask your hosting support to set the safe_mode php.ini option to Off(disabled) for your site.

Hope it helps! Ovidiu

I've been able to get the Amazon S3 backup module to work, but right before the XCloner cron moves the backup file over to my S3 bucket, it spits out three instances of the following error message:

PHP Warning: curl_setopt(): CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when safe_mode is enabled or an open_basedir is set in /var/www/vhosts/alpinelakesdesign.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/xcloner-backup-and-restore/classes/S3.php on line 1259

The backup .tar file appears to be fine (I downloaded it from Amazon and uncompressed it, but have not tried to restore it anywhere), but I'd like to know whether I need to worry about these warning messages, and if so, how I can solve the problem.

Thanks.
