hello,

 

great component, but very very very slow durin creating file backup, many hours for 200 mb when other backup components  take 3 minutes?

 

thre is any way to solve?

Hi there! I am guessing you have set the "Backup Compression" option to Yes? Usually that works slower compared to the uncompressed option.  Both options depend very much on the system resources(cpy/memory) you have allocated to your account, but i would advise to set the Compression mode to No and see if it helps.

Wow, this advice makes a tonne of difference, too bad I only found it later. Perhaps you could add a description to compression parameter to say that it could cause a massive slowdown.

Anton: It might be a little bit faster if you support the tar utility on your server and php exec() function is enabled, as well as the Manual backup option set to No
