Hi Ovidiu,
I just installed xcloner for Wordpress and start with the backup.
I received the message:
There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers
Details: error -- undefined
JSON url:
index2.php?option=com_cloner&task=refresh&json=1&startf=1640&lines=3424&backup=backup_2013-09-23_12-45_lebensring.com-sql-nodrop.tar&excl_manual=
after reading this forum I retried it several times and changed following settings step by step:
- Files to process per request: 5
- Database records per request: 50
- Exclude files larger than: 2
... but the error remains. The process doesn´t continue after clicking retry, too
the rest of the screen details are:
Filesystem backup...
Scanning files system... done! (Estimated size:67.94MB) in 3424 files
Processing
Files: 47% (1640 files)
Backup Name: backup_2013-09-23_12-45_lebensring.com-sql-nodrop.tar
Backup Size: 29.96MB
any further advice?

What is the generated file size in th View Backup section? Also, check the disk space available.
Try and set also the Backup Split option to 29MB and see how it goes! Ovidiu

the generated backup size is shown with 30 MB.
I tried your recommended settings and it works!

The file sizes ar probably limited to 30MB on your hosting server, might want to check that with your hosting support! Ovidiu

I get a similar message:

Details: parsererror -- SyntaxError: Unexpected token <
JSON url: admin-ajax.php?action=json_return&task=recurse_files&mode=&nohtml=1&files=217
It used to work fine a few months ago, but I saw that the last successful backup back then had only 66 MB, whereas the current (failed) backups had 716 MB and 1.5 KB.
Changing the Backup Split option to 29MB did not help.
Would you happen to have any other solutions?
