Hello,

I'm using webmin to run my linux debian server for managing my sites and I'm not able to configure a xcloner cronjob, could you help me?

when i copy-paste the command given in the admin of my site:

/usr/bin/php /hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php

i get:
sh: /usr/bin/php: No such file or directory

when i try without that part (/usr/bin/php), the script seems to start running but i get:

/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 1: ?php: No such file or directory
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 2: /bin: is a directory
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 3: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 4: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 5: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 6: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 7: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 8: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 9: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 10: adminupgrade: command not found
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 11: images/: is a directory
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 13: //: is a directory
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 14: syntax error near unexpected token `E_ALL^E_NOTICE'
/hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php: line 14: `@error_reporting(E_ALL^E_NOTICE);'

i also tried the other commands (links and lynx -source) but with both i get:

Running lynx -source http://www.mysite.co.....r.cron.php on selected servers ..

Output from this server ..

    sh: lynx: command not found

Running links http://www.mysite.co.....r.cron.php on selected servers ..

Output from this server ..

    sh: links: command not found

Can anybody help to configure the command right?

    Thanks

Hi Seb! The /usr/bin/php path we added there is just an example, use this to find your actual php path through the console:

whereis php

or simply try and execute this command

php /hosting/mysite/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/cloner.cron.php

Thanks Ovidiu for your fast support.

I payed a one year membership, because i think I'm going to need a bit more help and I think that it is only fair to pay you for your great work since I've been happilly using Xcloner since I started with Joomla.

I sent a private ticket to continue about this 'problem'.

Thanks again,

Sébastien

If it interests anyone,

I had not installed the php_cli package (I'm sure it is hilarious for a real technician but as i am quite new to installing software and packages on a debian server, i did'nt know that that could be so important), and because it was missing, it was not possible to make php commands so cron jobs didn't work.

Now it works.

Thanks anyway.
