Hi
I want to use XCLONER to clone my site to create a Test version of it and I am a little nervous - There are a few settings I would appreciate more explanation of
(Questions in Bold)
i) MySQL server - The newMySQL server address of the location where you are restoring - Is this the IP address or something else?
In the Files transfer and configuration section -
ii) Restore original file Tick this checkbox if you want XCloner to restore the original file permissions permissions of your files. - I assume yes is good for this.
ii) Ftp path The path where the backup should be stored - I assume this is the /home/public_html/NEW_SITE_NAME - Is this correct
iii) Joomla requires the configuration.php to be updated with the new site settings - does XCLONER make these amendments for you?
Thanks in advance
i) usually the mysql server name is supplied by your hosting provider, so try and check with them
ii) both options should work just fine
iii) no, it referers to only the ftp path usually that is much shorter, so check with a ftp client, otherwise better leave those settings as default
iv) yes, XCloner does that as well
Hope it helps! Ovidiu
