I would appreciate some assistance. I'm a new user of XCloner (but not a new Wordpress user). The XCloner configuration process for automated backups and Amazon S3 backups is somewhat confusing to me. With other backup solutions, you simply enter your Amazon S3 credentials, tell it to backup once per day and you're done. But... XCloner offers a full site backup which most other backup solutions don't provide. So... I'd like to figure out how to do this with XCloner. My questions:
1. I've configured my S3 credentials on the Cron tab; access key, secret key, and bucket name. What is the upload directory? Do I put anything in there?
2. I read somewhere that I have to create a cron job. What are the steps to do that? (The documentation wasn't real clear on that.) I'm using cPanel on HostGator so if you can provide cPanel instructions to make this work that would be great. I'd like to perform the backup daily at say midnight or 1 am. Then I'd like the backup to be uploaded to AWS immediately thereafter.
Thanks for your assistance.

1. upload directory can be any name you choose, make sure you also Activate the S3 upload mode button
2. cronjob setup details are here /wiki/index.php/Appendix#Execute_a_cron_job_from_within_XCloner , basically to setup automated backups, you need access to a cron scheduler from your server
Hope it helps! Ovidiu

>1. upload directory can be any name you choose, make sure you also Activate the S3 upload mode button
Is the upload directory required since I already put in the name of the S3 bucket? And where do I find the S3 upload mode button? I saw nothing in the documentation about any of this.

That link is no good. It has several periods in it. Could you please use the full link? I'm pretty sure I have access to a cron scheduler on HostGator. I'll see if I can find your docs on it and see if I can make any progress with it.
Thanks.

>1. No, i don't think it's required
Ok.
>2. try clicking it, should open in a new window
That worked.
Thanks for your assistance. There still seems to be something missiing with XClioner. It just seems like there's a hole there somewhere and I don't know what it is. I can't put my finger on it but it just seems to me like I'm missing some information and I don't know what it is. I think I'm going to look at other WordPress backup alternatives. I see there are now several plugins that will backup an entire WP site to S3. At one point, XCloner was the only one that would do that.
