Hello.

I'm just testing Xcloner on wampserver, before using it in my numerous Joomla sites, hosted by 1and1 on Linux.

 

But I'm not a programmer.

 

So, I'm looking for an understandable procedure to make a cron job for Xcloner on my 1and1 hosting .

 

Any help ?

 

Is there a complete tutorial or help in french somewhere ?

Please check with wiki tutorial /wiki/index.php/Appendix#Execute_a_cron_job_from_within_XCloner , it should help!

But it looks VERY complicate ... for a non-programmer.

 

I think I will have to make all my backups manually for the rest of my life.

 

I'll try to understand all this tutorial, when I have a few hours free...

But first, I'm comparing Xcloner with THE other backup extension.

Maybe the main difference, for us, is not the technical features but the lack of french tutorial and forum for Xcloner.
