I am very happy that Xcloner added Dropbox, but
1) Why doesn't Dropbox simply get the authorization like other backup scripts? A simple click and the Application Key and secret are set and authorize?
2) How do I get the application key and secret automatically?
3) Do I need an ending slash in the dropbox destination folder input box?
4) How can I keep only the last 10 backups in the dropbox?

1) I will add that request on the dev list, right now we are using this class implemenation http://fabi.me/en/ph.....pi-client/ which i don't think has that feature
2) might be best to check with dropbox support on that, or check their API
3) no, that is not needed
4) amazon has a method called Object Expiration , i am guessing there might be something related on dropbox as well

I'm also trying to learn how to automate backups and move them to my Dropbox. It's not clear to me how to do this and these questions are good ones.
1. Where do you get Application Key?
2. Where do you get the Application Secret?
3. How do you specify the Upload Directory.
I did look through the documentation and didn't see any answers to these questions. I went to my account in Dropbox and there is nowhere to request the Application Key and Application Secret. I think I can figure out how to specify the Upload Directory.

Hi Liuta,
i tried to get the dropbox sync working, but unfortunately there are some problems ...
1.) Registered the Dropbox app (development status) - is a production status necessary?
2.) Cron Output log says:
DROPBOX: Starting communication with the DropBox server...
File copied to private/backup_2013-08-30_10-27_www.manfred-steger.de-sql-nodrop.tgz
3.) No file added to Dropbox :/ - are there special path information necessary?
4.) If this problem is solved, i ask my company to switch to xCloner and make a subscription to this compenent because we will use it for Joomla and Wordpress
