Hi I am trying out Xcloner standalone version, and whenever attempting to initiate a back up , get error “There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!”
I have found a reference to disabling the “WordPress Database Backup” plugin (that I don’t have), and reducing backup file size to 29mb, which made no difference
Is it worth persisting with Xcloner, or is this problem likely insurmountable?
Also my new host (inmotionhosting.com) blocks the automated backup cron jobs that had been set up by softalicious on my previous host, and that were automatically migrated across when switching hosts.
Is this block likely to cripple Xcloner? My objective to to find another way to do an automated daily backup of individual installations complete with associated databases, exactly as the softalicious cron jobs had previously been doing
Further to above, having received the first error, it seems Xcloner then lost the ability thereafter to connect to the database it was trying to back up at all, now giving Could not connect: Access denied for user ‘admin’@’localhost’ (using password: YES)
Unable to select database primenet_archprim_King
No such error was reported when saving the configuration with correct MYSQL credentials
