Hi,

I have downloaded version 3.1.1 of the XCLONER MANAGER Backup and Restore product.

On the Website it talks of Incremental backup of Database and File, but I cant find the option?

Is it a seperate product, module or is it there and I cant see it - I would appreciate your advice.

By default, those options are already activated, it's an option called "Manual Backup" as it requires javascript to work

Hi,

Same doubt here.

I have a site that is quite big, its DocumentRoot is around 50GB and the DB is 2GB big, therefore I would like to make incremental backups (both: database and filesystem) instead full backups. Or even monday to saturday incremental and sunday full.

Is that possible? If so… I can't find these settings Confused Could anyone clarify how it works in incremental mode vs full?

Regards

Incremental backups are only available with the web interface, cron does not support this.

Thanks Ovidiu for your response.

What a pity! We are now just testing your software as a replacement for our VPS nightly backup that we have now in place. We need both incremental and full modes automatically. There is no way to run lots of backups manually at night time. And in case it fullfils our needs we'll undoubtedly get premium support.

I don't know if you're considering such feature as candidate for the upcoming releases (?)

Thanks Ovidiu,

That would be great, we really need a tool like xcloner to include in our services portfolio to offer backup to our VPS clients, but unfortunately incremental and full backup feature is a must. There is no reason to send each nightly execution the entire site out, this is good once a week or monthly.

I'm now following you in Twitter, and we'll follow up any update to be aware when it comes up live...

Thanks for your kind assistance.

Regards
