Hello,

I really like XCloner and all of the available settings for automating the process. The only issue I am having is that I cannot find the MySQL databases that it is supposed to be backing up.

Currently I send the .tar to a different server via FTP and I entered a folder /mybackups on the remote server. When I go to the remote server and look in /mybackups, all of the .tar files are there but no database files. I have it checked to send both files and database. Additionally when i look in the main server (the one being backed up) /public_html/administrator/backups there are no backups there. For the main server i store .tar backups in /backups (in the root not in /public_html/administrator/backups).

Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

The daatbase backup is included within the create .tar or .tgz archive, in directory administrator/backups, database-sql.sql file, if you open or extract the archive, i am sure you will find it there.

Thanks Ovidiu!! Have one other question.. I now see the database-sql.sql
file and I also see one other DB.  I am wondering is there a way to have
the main DB separate from the other DB? Basically I selected Yes to Backup
Multiple Databases.

Lastly when i download all DB's from PHPMyadmin it is 46mb and when i look
at the backup it's 17.7mb. I have a total of 5 DB's under the same main prefix:
DBexample then _database1, _database2, etc.... and the setting for MySQL
database is DBexample_DB1... should it be DBexample only, although it would not
seem right that it would authenticate properly..??  I would like to get
all DB's backed up and separated per  _database.

Thanks,

Sharif

XCloner does not automatically backup the extra databases, to do so, after you've enabled the Multiple database backup option, you will see them listed on the Generate Backup screen inside the multiple selection drop down box, you need to select them from there in order to be included in the backup.

The database-sql.sql file will only contain the main DB backup, for the other databases, separate .sql files will be generated! Hope it helps. Ovidiu
