I am new to XCloner. I just downloaded the standalone version. Using cpanel, I uploaded the zip file to my site's public_html folder and extracted the contents into a new folder XCloner. I chmod the folder to 777. I created an administration/backups folder (chmod 777) also under public_html folder (on shared server).

From what I understand from the installation instructions, I should be able to configure xclone now by going to this url:

http://www.mysite.com/XCloner

But I get a 404 page not found. Any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Try changing permissions of the XCloner folder to defaults 755 or 750 , if it still doesn't work, check with your hosting support , could be a hosting issue.
