Hi, cron jobs complete successfully with the normal php command: /usr/bin/php /home/mysite/public_html/backups/cloner.cron.php
but when I want to run a custom cron job which I have to use lynx for
- usr/bin/lynx -source http://website/path_.....config.php
It does not carry out the job and lynx is installed at this path or if I try variations using lynx which Ive read that others use.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Thanks that seems to work perfectly, I thought id already tried that command.
There isn't a method to password protect the backup archives themselves is there? I know you can use htaccess to secure the backups' folders, though it would be very helpful to be able to password protect the archives as its important for security - maybe theres some way I can implement it by editing the code?
No, at the moment backup archives can't be protected, but you can use a third party software to protect them once they are done like gpg under linux http://www.simplehel.....-in-linux/
