Hello, I'm evaluating xcloner in standalone mode for possible use on a customer site. After configuring it with the mysql username and password, I found that cloner.config stores the username/password as clear text. Is there any option to encrypt these so that prying eyes cannot see these critical settings?
Thank you for all suggestions.
If you are concerned that somebody might be able to acces the XCloner area with your user and pass, then you should consider securing XCloner further by adding htpasswd protection, ip blocking and/or usage of the XCloner standalone into a hidden folder!
The mysql user and pass are values which can't be encrypted, but if you would like to have them not displayed in the browser, there are a number of options here, including html obfuscation!
