1. Do I need the drop syntax?

2. When I download the .tar archives to my local computer (iMac) from the Xcloner window they download fine – if i download them using FTP (Fetch) they unpack and expland – how can I stop this happenning?  - SORTED - CHANGED PREFERENCES IN FETCH

Hi Gary!

 

1. the Drop syntax is not required, but it helps when importing to a non-empty database as it will first drop the existing tables

2. the issue you have is related to the ftp client you are using. try filezilla, it should help
