I thought I had successfully given myself a login and password for XCloner but when I went on my site a couple of weeks later to start a backup I couldn't get past the authentication area. It tells me incorrect username or password.
I would try resetting the password but I have no idea what paragraph 2 means. I'm not a programmer and have no idea where I would find cloner.config.php or how to access it. And when I do, do I need to include the quote marks?
2. If you've forgot your password, to reset it you need to add this code: $_CONFIG["jcpass"] = md5("my_new_pass"); at the end of the config file cloner.config.php just before line ?> Don't forget to replace my_new_pass with the actual password

Thanks for getting in touch Stuart.
I can't locate this file path. I typed in the directory as you suggested and got a 404 error. When I go into components xcloner-backup-and-restore I get options but everyone I click just gives me the Authentification area form
/administrator/index.php?option=com_xcloner-backupandrestore

Well I just tried entering the default login and password and got in, so possibly I didn't save my detsils when I first set this up. I'd still like to get to grips with how to access this cloner.config.php file. I guess I probably can now that I've actually used the correct login and password! I'll look at that later. Got to try and transfer this site asap.
Thanks Stuart
