Backup failed, please check your tar server utility support!

 

I get this everytime i try to create a backup on my main pc. I am in the process of making a classipress theme based website and want to be able to create a backup on my pc of which i can then restore on my laptop and vise versa.

 

The instal works fine on my laptop, it creates the backup. However when trying to run a backup on my pc i get the above error.

 

Can anyone please help as i am at a loss.

Try and uncheck the tar server utility option in your XCloner Config, it should help!

That was unticked by default, however when doing a manual backup, if i created my own name for the backup rather then a system generated one, it worked fine.

Could be then that your system has a file naming limitation, i don't see why however, are you able to manually create a file in the XCloner default naming format on your system?
