Hello

Ive made 2 different new databases and yet using either all i get after putting the database details in is:

The database details provided are incorrect and/or empty. Unable to connect to mysql server

I have tried several differnt options to see if I can get it to work with no joy

I use fasthosts as my provider and after running http://www.nameofmys.....Cloner.php XCloner filled in the server patch as E:/Domains/a/(*nameofmysite).com/user/htdocs/     *nameofmysite has the proper domain name in

All Database user name is correct and full ip of the database is entered into the mysql server box

Any ideas?

Many Thanks

Same problem, different host.

I've tried many variations of recommended installation, all the way through to the manual upload of files. And my host has verified the new database is working and PHP.ini is okay. But still, XCloner will not connect.

Thanks

Make sure when entering the mysql details that you don't add any empty spaces to the values, this might be the reason when copy/pasting. Other than this, i don't see a specific reason why it should not connect to the provided database if the details are right, however you can easily debug the script, look at line 205 in XCloner.php, you can see there the values xcloner tries to use when connecing to the mysql server.

Would be happy to look into the issue as well if you an open a support ticket and send us your restore location details. Ovidiu

I am guessing you didn't pass the files restore step, have you rechecked your mysql details? If you like, feel free to open a support ticket and send us the mysql details to attempt a restore from here.
