Use Xcloner to Install a Template?

Hello all, I am extremely inexperienced when it comes to Joomla. I am trying to install a new template and I already have a ton of content on my website. In order to install the template using the demo version (so it looks similar) I would have to dump my database. I don't want to do this, as I have no clue what I'm doing.

Can I use this to dump the database and then restore my files once I have uploaded the template? I'm not sure if that makes sense, but I'm really at a loss here.

Hi Rachel, yes, you could do that with XCloner, but you might as well create a new database, import the demo data there, then edit the configuration.php file to reflect the new database changes....

Hope it helps! Ovidiu
