Hi - I have been trying use xcloner, so far with very limited success. After developing a site on local I wanted to copy it to the live webserver. I followed the backup and clone process from localhost. The backup went pretty fast, but the cloning of the site to the live server did about 20 % in 4 hours. It's so slow it's unusable. Do you know of a faster way to clone over ftp?

Yes, of course, transfer the backup and restore script to the new server, extract the backup archive manually or using a built in server utility and restart the restore process with the Skip Files Restore option checked.

Hope it helps!
