I am backing up the database of my site and then after about 24 M of files I receive the following error :
There was an error retreiving the JSON data from
the server, try again or contact the developers!
Details: error -- undefined
JSON url:
index2.php?option=com_cloner&task=refresh&json=1&startf=1400&lines=9714&backup=backup_2011-03-03_19-16_psycorps.org-sql-nodrop.tar&excl_manual=
I am running Joomla! 1.5.20 et xcloner 3
Can anyone help? Thank you.
Please check this forum post are reference on how to debug this issue, look inside the perm.txt file between lines 1400 and 1500 and see if you spot any large filesm, if so, try and exclude them and see if it helps.

I eliminated certain large folder (200M) and decreased file number processing. But still the same error. I do not see anything special in the perm.txt but am not sure what to for. Where does "Another option would be to increase the php exectution timeout limit if it's allowed" be found? Any further advice?
Thank you

I checked out the disk space and I have almost 2G which is plenty. Did not find a php.ini file and still getting this type of message.

I do not know what has happened but since I checked the log file the backup is going through. In the beginning I get the message ": There was a problem in generating the database backup, please check your mysqldump server path!" but then the backup continues only the screen keeps refreshing as it adds lines. I find no perm.txt file and I do not see where to upload the end screen shot and the log file.
I am not sure if this a correct backup that I am doing.
To fix the mysqldump error, better uncheck the Active mysqldump option in the XCloner backend, the mysql backup will get created with the internal XCloner functions, the error you have there indicates clearly the mysql backup is not working. If the files backup was successfull, the perm.txt is deleted in the end.
Best way to check a backup, is either to try and open it or simply try and restore it on another host or local install.
