I get this problem on about 25 percent of sites.

 

XCloner does a backup, I then view backups and click the save link and I get a warning such as:

 

Firefox can't find the file at http://www.xxxxxx.co.....l-drop.tgz.

 

There seems absolutely no rhyme or reason to it.  Is there a simple answer?

I can install two sites in a sub-directory of the same webspace and have one work and another not, with the same permissions set etc.

I would advise using a ftp client to download the backup archives for your site, the web download interface is pretty limited by the server restrictions.
