Clone Bug Found - Blank screen after Restore | Joomla Support | Forum Archive

Hi,

At first glance this script seem first class however It soon failed on me in one of the key areas I wanted it to work.

I tried to move a website from a developemnt area to another web hosting service.

When I used the clone option all went well it even said after files were extracted and mysql import that all was ok click here

However when I clicked the link all i got was a blank screen, after thinking it was an error on the backup and redoing this a few times I decided to investigate the config file.

Lots of parameters had been changed which was great however looking further day the entries for the temp folder and the log folder had not be ammended so when a component i use wanted to write to the log directory it failed, and because the  new webhost (which I don't use normally) surpresses all errors!! I had fund trying to locate this problem, I only noticed when I cloned this website to a webserver I have full access to and got the errors to point me in th eright direction.
