Hi,

A cloning seems to process everything OK but ends with these two error messages:

Warning: require_once(/home/domain/public_html/clone/libraries/joomla/utilities/compat/compat.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/domain/public_html/clone/includes/framework.php on line 67

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/domain/public_html/clone/libraries/joomla/utilities/compat/compat.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/domain/public_html/clone/includes/framework.php on line 67

I note there is no folder /home/domain/public_html/clone/libraries/joomla/utilities/compat on the site and therefore no compat.php

Extracting the backup-file manually on the new server but getting errors:

/bin/gtar: Unexpected EOF in archive

/bin/gtar: Unexpected EOF in archive

/bin/gtar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

I guess this means we have a problem on the backup end ?

The backup is from a medium size site.  The .tar file is 269 MB.

How can I be certain that this is complete and without error ?

Cheers

/Poul

Hi Poul, have you checked if the backup size from the restore site has the same size as on the original site? The "Unexpected EOF in archive" might indicate that. If the size is the same, try and check the disk space available on the originals site and make sure you have enough to complete a full backup, same goes for the restore site.

Hope it helps! Ovidiu

Hi Ovidiu,

Thanks !

Well that game me some idea.  After cleaning up - both on source and destination site - the cloning did complete withour errors.

But I did encounter some omissions from the transfer:

- A template did not get across

- Two folders did not get copied:  /www/images/stories and /www/assets

- Two extensions did not get copied:  RSForm and Xmap

- 3 files from the root did not get copied.

Why that is so I have no idea.  I just selected the default settings  🙂

Cheers,

/Poul

Were those files included in the Backup archive? try and check that first, if they were, then try and extract the backup archive manually and restart the restore process with "Skip files restore" option checked.

Ovidiu
