Hi,
After a long struggle with cron jobs, my provider has finally found a way which lets the cron job start succesfully:
We never had any luck with the php or curl command.
However, looking at the backups, it appears that they're only 1/3 of the size they normally would have (it's missing a lot of subfolders). Can this be a problem of the above code used to start the cronjob? Starting the backup manually in the backend results in the normal (full) size.
PS: in a similar thread, someone was advised to use 'php' in the cron command, however this never worked for us, so I just started this new thread...
Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I enabled logs to my e-mail adress, but when I wanted to reproduce the problem, the cronjob fails entirely:
-: wget: command not found
This is exactly what we were struggling with before and is most likely server related. I will contact my provider next week to get this sorted, again.... I'll get back to this thread as soon as possible
PS: I found a typo in the dutch language files. "Oplsag" needs to be "Opslag"
administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/language/dutch.php
line 78 should be: define("LM_CONFIG_BPATH","Backup Opslag Pad:");

Wow after another struggle with my provider, it appears it was entirely their fault in their configuration (they were reluctant to admit it).
The cronjobs are working perfect now with "wget" and they have full size. Thanks anyway for your quick response Ovidiu!
And thanks for a great extension! I'll go give a 5 star review in joomla extensions right now.
