error retrieving json data from server

Hi there,

I am a first time user of Xcloner. It sure looks like just the programm I need.

I followed the instructions on https://docs.xcloner.com/#/ and it works well until I make a back up. On 39% I get this error:

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!

Details: error -- undefined
JSON
url:
index2.php?option=com_cloner&task=refresh&json=1&startf=2900&lines=7323&backup=backup_2011-04-15_08-21_www.nehemiadokkum.nl-sql-drop.tar&excl_manual=

Anyone any idea what this is and how to solve it?

Thanks in advance

greetings

Anton

Hi Anton! As a first suggestion, try and set the "Files to process per request" option to 50(or lower) instead of 100 in the XCloner Config System tab and see if it helps.

if  you still have issues, you will need to open the created administrator/backups/perm.txt file and look between lines 2900 and 3000 and see if you spot any large files there, the process by be timing out when trying to add those, so excluding them will help, another option would be to increase the site php.ini max_execution_time if your hosting allows it.

One more thing you need to check is the disk space available, the backup might fail if the disk space available is close to 0.

Hai,

Thanks for your quick reply. The first option didn't work. So I opened the perm.txt file and saw that I still had another backup component installed (and that was in the 2900 lines). I uninstalled that component and it worked. Got the backup completed. Now I am on to trying to clone my site on another server (for testing purposes). If I have problems with that I will surely get back to you (but I hope I do not have toLaugh)

Thanks again.

greetings and blessings

Anton
