I know this is a common topic but I tried the tips on other threads and still couldn't resolve it so I have no choice but to post a new query.

Initially it kept stalling at:

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!
Details: parsererror -- Invalid JSON: TAR error: Unable to open file 'images/stories/collector.php' in binary read mode{"backupSize":"87984640","percent":"4","option":"com_cloner","task":"refresh","json":"1","startf":2100,"lines":"44372","backup":"backup_2013-08-25_23-23_www.mywebsite.com-sql-nodrop.tar","excl_manual":""}

So I excluded 'images/stories/collector.php' to try again. Then this came up:

There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!
