I have migrated to Joomla 3.4.1 and installed XCloner 3.5.2.

When generating a backup, I get the error "There was an error retrieving the JSON data from the server, try again or contact the developers!"

I have contacted my hosting parter who has increased the PHP setting "upload_max_filesize" to 128Mb, but this has made no difference.

What else can be done to solve this problem?

Thanks

Hi there. Try and change Backup Mode to Normal in XCloner Config->System tab and see if you get anymore issues.

Additionally, you should also try and set the Files to Process per Request to a lower value like 50.

Hope it helps. Ovidiu

Changing the Backup Mode does allow the backup to complete - however, it's much slower.

Changing the File to Process to a lower value has no effect at all - the backups still fail.

Regards

Leon

Have you set the compress backup option to Enabled?
