This doesn't seem to be working.

I have entered the folder's path to be excluded yet when running the cron job from the admin panel I get:

TAR error: Unable to open file '/htdocs/logs/traffic.html/.md5sums' in binary read mode

/htdocs/logs is the excluded folder. However the job does seem to complete.

Try adding the full server path to that folder and see if it helps! The backup will finish without that folder anyway!

Thank you for replying but I just found my mistake. Supposedly I added those exclusions after creating the config file. I didn't know you had to retype the name of the config file to overwrite.

Thanks again. It is now skipping those directories.
