OfflineHi
I'm trying to get the S3 option working but am getting the following error message. I've tried it naming the bucket and also blank.
AMAZON S3: Starting communication with the Amazon S3 server...ssl mode 0
Warning: S3::putBucket(, private, ): [MethodNotAllowed] The specified method is not allowed against this resource. in /home/allenint/public_html/petitefleur.biz/administrator/components/com_xcloner-backupandrestore/classes/S3.php on line 229
AMAZON S3: Unable to create bucket (it may already exist and/or be owned by someone else)!
I've had a good browse of the forum but can't spot the reason.
Can anyone help
Cheers

OfflineHI Ovidu
1. Using ssl made no difference I'm afraid.
2. I tried a different server where I have a site and using ftp alone it worked and I got the cron log email. But when I added the S3 option the ftp worked again but I received no email from Xcloner or from the Cron Daemon.
I've tried this a couple of times with and without ssl but no S3 transfer and no emails.
On the original server I was at least getting the emails reporting the problem.
I am using the latest version of Xcloner
Any ideas?
Cheers
Chris
I am out of ideas, but if you like, feel free to send me an email http://www.xcloner.c.....m/contact/ with the amazon credentials and i will try to make a few tests from here.

OfflineHi - Problem solved!
I was backing up by ftp to my own pc and also trying to use Amazon s3. BUT- I also enabled the "delete file after transfer - which it did.
Unfortunately that meant there was no file for Xcloner to send to Amazon after it had processed the ftp request. No wonder it didn't work!
Now S3 is ok I don't need to ftp. I'll turn on "delete old files" instead.
Thanks Ovidiu for all your help
Chris
