Hi There,
Juste a quick information & question.
I used XCloner (v.3.0.9) to make a clone of my Joomla 2.5 website located on ServerA to a hosted website on a ServerB.
ServerA and ServerB doesn't have the same path to web folder :
- ServerA : /opt/products/app/mysite/htdocs
- ServerB : /home/www/<guid>/users/myuser/web
When I cloned ServerA to ServerB, all paramters are updated correctly
except Joomla logs & tmp path. Then that means that on serverB the
given path is totally incorrect.
To fix it, I edited configuration.php (on ServerB), and replace path for logs & tmp folders with the path corresponding.
My question regarding this : is it a normal behavior (by design), is it a bug or is it a missconfiguration of the backup source?
Thanks in advance

Hi Vincent, XCloner does not update the tmp/ and logs/ paths automatically as each user is responable for setting those paths and some might like to have them outside the main Joomla root folder. But we have succesfully used as values "tmp" and "logs" for those options, so when Joomla is automatically moved to another host you don't need to re-edit the paths as they will point to the default folders automatically.
Hope it helps! Ovidiu
