Hi

I run a few Joomla sites, and I am just trying out Xcloner and it looks great.  I have found two issues.

Firstly, I have twice successfully cloned a site, once to a different location on the same server, and once to my local WAMP server.  The only problem I can see with the clones is that the tmp and log paths in configuration.php are not updated to reflect the new location.

Secondly, I found that the restore script fails if there is an & (ampersand) in the database password, as it cannot connect to the database.

Neither of these problems is major, and can be worked around, but it would be good if everything was perfect! Smile

Hi Tim! I have added the ampersand to our bug list and I will look into getting it fixed!

 

Regarding the tmp, logs paths, not all users prefer to have them automatically pointed to the Joomla default folders, so we prefer to leave those paths unchanged by default, but you are right, an optional checkbox for that would help, so I am adding that also on the features list.
