Hi Top, try and upgrade your Joomla install to the latest version and make sure your server meets the Joomla requirements .

well im an idiot

I have updated joomla to 1.5.25

Now the reason im an idiot is because a while back i installed akeeba as was told I was an idiot if I didnt have it , so I installed it on my test site but have never used it as it pretty much looks a worse version of your program.

However they now seem to be conflicting with each other as I get this error -

TAR error: Extracted file
/home/kenskraf/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup/site-www.topknotch-solutions.co.uk-20111227-194022.j01
does not have the correct file size '41252864' (58609664 expected). Archive may
be corrupted.

Files succesfully copied to /home/kenskraf/public_html/

Configuration updated!

I have deleted the com_akeeba file but it just recreates it , meaning i continually get the same error

Any ideas on how to get round this ?

Sorry for being such a dumbass .

Cheers

Glad you got it working! As a note, there are any incompatibilities between the two components, however it is best to exclude the other backups you don't need archived!

Cheers, Ovidiu
