Started with xclone, couldnt get things to work. Went to Akeeba, worked like a charm. Trying xclone again... no dice.

Backing up live site to restore on local host for developement.

With Akeeba:

Backed up site, downloaded backup, created a new table "joomla" followed instructions pointing to new DB "joomla". Worked great.

With XCLONE

Backed up site, downloaded backup, created a new table "joomla2" followed instructions pointing to new DB "joomla2" .....

###MYSQL error
Duplicate entry

and this was at

Processed 0.12% from sql backup!

Any ideas? Dubplicate entries is probably not good but akeeba handled them, is there an option with XCLONE to skip all duplicates?

Make sure you use an empty database when restoring, and if you still get that error simply try and skip it to process the next one... If you try to use phpmyadmin to import the mysql backup located in administrator/backups/database-sql.sql file, does it work?

Each time I was using a new database. When you press skip it would go from 0.12% to 0,13% and so on....

I tried using phpmyadmin to import and that worked right away.

Do I need anything else other than the 2 step process:

1. restore with xclone

2. import database with phpmyadmin

Any idea why phpmyadmin had no issue importing the database where xlone did?

Thank you,

-Josh

No idea, but feel to email a copy over to us  here http://www.xcloner.c.....m/contact/ and i will look more into it.

There is no need to do anything else beside the 2 steps you've mentioned but make sure database import is not excluded when restoring, otherwise the config details will not get updated....
