Hi i need some advice here
My currently Joomla 1.5 was install in
directadmin using installation and now i going to change server to
Cpanel and Joomla 1.5 will be install by Softaculous.
As Joomla itself dont have auto upgrade feature, so i will want Softaculous to upgrade it itself.
Can i use XCloner to backup and restore Joomla 1.5 after i had install Joomla 1.5 using Softaculous?

Yes, XCloner can be used without problems, please install it and try to follow the XCloner backup and restore online manual.

I had make the restore successful but i notice something on the db
as i using some big5 wording.. (i mean chinese wording) when i restore it become ??????? cannot be view

When restoring, try and set the "Character set to the file" encoding option to utf8 or the collation you had on your original database and see if it helps!
