I get this message: "No input file specified", when I try to restore to a TEST folder on my hosting.

Please check if the restore script has been uplaoded in the correct location as well as make sure that php scripts are running properly on that hosting account.

Thanks for the quick response. Xcloner puts 3 files in the TEST folder: TAR.php, Xcloner.php and backup...tar

I don't know how to check that php scripts are running OK on the hosting account - except as far as I can tell everything else is working fine. I'm just doing this test to take myself through the restore process in case I really need to do it one day.

Here is a simply test script

<?php

echo "test";

Puit it on server and try to run it, do you see the text without the php marks? if not, it's probably a hosting issue you need to address with your hosting support!

I made that into a .php file and put it on server. When I load the URL for the file in a browser I get just the word: test . So I guess scripts are running OK.

I would advise checking with your hosting support and aks why the XCloner.php file is not running on your server, or feel free to open a support ticket and I can look at the issue as well.

Hosting checks out OK.

Still getting "No input file specified" within Xcloner via Joomla, but I can get the Xcloner process to continue if I locate the Xcloner.php via a browser url outside Joomla.

Could you post here a screenshot of the error you have there(including url) as well as a screenshot from your ftp account where the restore script is located to see if we can spoy anything wrong?
