OfflineHello Ovidiu,
Wondeful application, thank you! My only problem is I have a 30 second PHP limitation from my host. I can run a regular backup with no problem because I am using the Manual Backup with Javascript enabled in my browser. But my Cron backups keep stopping at around the 110mb point, which looks to be around that 30 second PHP script limiation.
I assume this is because no actual web browser is being used for the Cron job, so there is no javacript to handle the incremental backup. How do i get around that time limitation using automatic cron backups?
Thank you!
James

Which cron command format are you using and what type of scheduler do you have access to?

Hello Ovidiu,
Thank you for your quick response. I am using the PHP command and using this as the schedule: 0 0 * * * I have put this into the Cron section through my hosting company. I hope it is what you were asking.
i have another cron job setup just like this which runs and works find. Your backup cron runs as well, but it just doesnt complete as I mentioned. Thanks.
Hmm, in this case there isn't much you can do except to try and decrease the backup execution time by excluding some folders, or increasing the max_execution_time limit from the server, if allowed. I would also advise to keep the Backup Compression option to No to help in execution time saving...

Hello Ovidiu,
Thank you for clarification. My host won't increase the time, but I think I can create multiple backups to stay withing the 30 second limitation. I tried Akeeba and it was just too difficult. Your program works for me when theirs wouldn't and you have excellent customer service. Thank you for you for the program and the assistance.

OfflineHello Ovidiu,
Your current settings only allow you to enter login details for one mysql database, but I have two. Is there a way around this, because currently my backups will only contain my main database and not my second database. If not, is it possible to create a second xcloner installation so i can use it to backup only this second database?
Thanks.

OfflineHello Ovidiu,
My host says i can't add a second user to my database, so I installed your standalone version and it just overrode the previous installation. My datbase information was still in there but other data including the xcloner password was gone.
I checked and both the cloner for joomla and the standalone have the same xcloner3.1.zip file name. is there something i need to do so it has a new name and therefore installs in a new component directory?
Thank you for your patience and help.
