On localhost, Joomla 1.5.22 I tried the first time this extension (v3.0)
Backup Ok then restore – no error occured
but when visualizing the new site the site seems uncomplete (backend without images, same on frontend)
When comparing with winmerge there is a difference in the configuration.php :
origine : var $live_site = '';
new : var $live_site ='http://localhost/the.....';# '';
After correction, the new site works fine
The second differerence is : on the new site there is no Xcloner component
Can you help me to understand what happened ?

Hi there! When restoring, make sure your Install Url and Install dir paths are correct, usually this url "http://localhost/thesitename/Xcloner.php" indicates you called the restore script from an incorrect name, Xcloner.php instead of XCloner.php, notice the upper C letter, so try that the next time, it should fix the issues you have.
As for the other issues, did you use an empty database when restoring or received any sql errors when importing the database? Is there any other component missing?

For the upper C letter, I did not really pay attention to this - so next time it should be right
For the second question : All the other components where there. The database was created with restoring and there where no errors. Perhabs this is related to the first problem ? I will see next time.

Usually the components menu list is being read from the database, so if it's not there for any reason, it will not show on the new site. Anyway, try and reinstall XCloner, it should help, don't forget you update your tmp folder path first!
