Hello,
I have a joomla! web site 1.15.17 running for an association.
As they wanted to modify almost everything, they made a copy of it in the same site, directory /dev. There are 2 different databases, of course, and both web sites are running correctly.
Can Xcloner be used to save /dev and restore in / ? I guess answer is "no" because I have been searching for that and did not see anything. When they created the /dev directory, they copied all files, made a backup of the database and restored it under another name - if I understood well the process - I can try and do it too, but as I am not at all good in SQL nor PHP, this is certainly more risky than a good program !

Restoring from /dev to the root folder / is exactly what XCloner can do, please check our restore wiki, all you need to do is copy the restore script and backup archive to the new location, and follow the restore process instructions on screen.
